Academic, Research and Module Development
Academic and research work have always been integral to Amanie focus. The Islamic Finance Industry has its foundations firmly rooted in academia and has since maintain a strong relationship with the academia. Amanie’s global Shariah Scholars have individually at one stage of their careers been an academic, and the academic curiosity still persists in our conduct of advisory work. Scholarly and academic research, focused on the pursuit in the areas of Shariah and finance, are one of our main fortes and this differentiates us from the other advisory outfits in the industry. Amanie and its Shariah Scholars are globally recognised subject matter experts in our nascent but yet growing industry.
Apart from our academic forays, Amanie has continually been mandated to conduct industry research by both regulators as well as market players alike. We have assisted both monetary authorities as well as securities commissions to prepare positional papers within our expertise in Shariah and its applications. From our research on individual Shariah contracts to our inputs in positioning the Islamic Finance industry in particular jurisdictions, our inputs have been well sought after and received. We help in shaping the Islamic finance industry and our ability to do this is derived from the collective capabilities and experience that we have developed in-house. Our academia and research testimony includes development of the Shariah Parameters for 6 major Shariah contracts for the Central Bank of Malaysia and module development for the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional Programme (Part II) offered by the Global University of Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and Diploma of Islamic Finance and Advanced Diploma of Islamic Finance of Chartered Institution of Management Accountants, United Kingdom (CIMA UK).
Amanie through its global Shariah Supervisory Board is well positioned to react, understand and adapt to any market developments facing Islamic finance industry.
